This Easter, members of our team here at Capital Sky spent time at the Luton and Dunstable University Hospital, supporting local families and bringing a moment of lightness to what can be a difficult time for many.

Members of our team visited the children’s ward, where one of our lucky colleagues took on the role of the Easter Bunny for the day, handing out Easter eggs and chocolate gifts to the young patients. It was a simple gesture in the grand scheme of things, but one that created little moments of happiness for children and their families.

We were also thrilled to be joined by Luton Town FC strikers Devante Cole and Shayden Morris, who took time out of their end of season preparations and training for the Cup Final at Wembley and play-off promotion push, adding hugely to the occasion and helping to create a genuinely caring atmosphere. Their presence was obviously greatly received and it just reinforced the incredibly strong connection between local organisations working together within the community. Thank you guys!

With Luton Town joining us, it feels fitting to borrow a footballing phrase, this was a day which was about showing up when it matters. The focus of the visit was simple: bringing little moments of joy to children and families facing a difficult time. Seeing the smiles on the children’s faces, and the lift it gave to parents and carers, reinforced just how meaningful small gestures can be.

As a team, many of us are parents ourselves, so it was easy to understand the difference a visit like this can make. That’s what made the decision so straightforward, to step away from our day jobs, put on the bunny ears, and do something positive.

The day also reflected the kind of environment we continue to build within the company. One where people are encouraged to contribute beyond their day-to-day roles, and where values such as inclusion, respect and family remain an integral part of how the business operates.

For those considering a career with Capital Sky, this is an important part of who we are. Alongside delivering work to the highest standard, there is a shared commitment to supporting one another and staying connected to the community we are part of.

We would like to thank the staff at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital for their support and for the work they continue to do every day. It was a privilege to spend time with them and the families they care for.
