With 40 years’ experience in the construction industry, Martin brings extensive hands-on knowledge, leadership and a genuine passion for people to his role as CEO of Capital Sky. Originally from Ireland, Martin came to the UK at just 14 to begin his career in construction. While building his career on site, Martin studied at South Bank and put himself through night school, demonstrating the drive and commitment that have remained central to his career ever since. His experience spans construction, civil engineering and demolition, including work on some of the UK’s most iconic projects.

Martin is a hands-on CEO who believes strong relationships are at the heart of successful projects. He takes pride in building lasting bonds with clients, supply-chain partners and his teams, founded on trust, loyalty and doing what you say you will do. His straightforward “can-do” attitude means finding solutions, delivering on commitments, and always putting people first.

He is also passionate about supporting women in construction, creating opportunities for young people and developing the next generation of industry talent.

Managing Director

Michael is a charted civil engineer and Managing Director of Capital Sky, with overall responsibility for the strategic direction, operational performance, and continued growth of the business across Great Britain and Ireland. An experienced board-level construction leader, he has responsibility for major project delivery, commercial performance, risk and governance, while leading multidisciplinary teams across a diverse portfolio of complex developments. His experience spans projects valued from £3 million to £200 million across the commercial, education, healthcare, residential, infrastructure and specialist sectors.

Chief Operations Officer

Tracey brings a strong law enforcement background to her senior management role at Capital Sky, driving strategic oversight across the business. She leads coordination of operational activities with a sharp focus on legal and regulatory compliance, governance and business assurance – working closely with senior management and safety teams to develop and oversee health and safety programmes across every project. Beyond compliance, her remit spans business reporting, workforce resourcing, accreditations and training, keeping Capital Sky moving forward.

Group Commercial Director

James is a commercially focused construction professional with over 25 years’ experience in senior commercial management and quantity surveying roles. As Group Commercial Director at Capital Sky, he leads commercial strategy, overseeing performance, cost control, contract negotiations, risk and major bids. His strategic approach, strong client relationships and focus on high-performing teams support the continued sustainable growth of the business.

Chief Financial Officer

Eanna is a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years’ experience working with construction and property development businesses. Commercially focused and results-driven, he specialises in optimising cash flow, exploring financing options, improving credit control and developing effective business strategies. He works closely with clients to understand their goals, identify opportunities and provide the financial insight needed to support confident decisions and sustainable growth.

Chief Estimator

Steve has extensive experience in RC frame construction, quantity surveying and estimating across main contractor and subcontractor environments. As Senior Estimator at Capital Sky, he manages tenders, develops accurate cost plans and identifies new opportunities. Working closely with clients, consultants and the supply chain, his commercial awareness, attention to detail and negotiating experience ensure projects are competitively priced and commercially viable from the outset.

Commercial Director

Michael is Commercial Director at Capital Sky, leading the commercial side of the business with a focus on strong client relationships and successful project outcomes. He works closely with clients, partners and the wider team from early project stages through to completion. With a practical and considered approach, Michael manages commercial performance, identifies new opportunities and supports the continued growth of Capital Sky while maintaining a strong focus on quality, value and trust.

Head of Procurement

Shane has over two decades of experience in construction procurement, with specialist knowledge of plant hire and a background working with tier-one and specialist contractors. At Capital Sky, he manages procurement across projects, working closely with site teams, suppliers and subcontractors to secure materials, plant and services at the right time and best value. His strong supply chain knowledge and commercially focused approach support reliable delivery and high standards across every project.

Health & Safety Director

Ovi has over 17 years’ experience in health, safety, environment and quality within the construction industry. As Health & Safety Director at Capital Sky, he leads the company’s health and safety strategy, developing systems, behavioural coaching and best practice across all projects. Working closely with management and site teams, Ovi promotes a positive safety culture through strong leadership, clear communication and continuous improvement.

Training, Competency and Induction Manager

Martin Payne brings extensive experience from the demolition and construction sectors to his role as Training, Competency and Induction Manager at Capital Sky. He oversees the company’s training, competency and induction processes, ensuring the workforce holds the right skills, qualifications and site knowledge before stepping onto a project. Working closely with project and safety teams, Martin manages induction programmes and competency requirements, helping keep the workforce compliant, well-prepared and safe on site.

Operations of Plant & Commercial Lead

Anthony is Plant Operations & Commercial Lead at Capital Sky, with a strong commercial focus on the management and coordination of plant across the business. He works closely with project teams, clients and suppliers to ensure the right equipment and resources are in place, while overseeing commercial arrangements, procurement and supplier relationships. With a clear understanding of project requirements and a relationship-led approach, Anthony helps ensure plant operations are commercially effective, well coordinated and aligned with the high standards expected across every Capital Sky project.

Office Manager

As Office Manager at Capital Sky, Ailish is a key point of contact across the company’s sites and teams, supporting the day-to-day running of the business and helping to keep operations organised and moving smoothly behind the scenes. With a strong background in event planning and administration, she plays a leading role in coordinating company events, supporting internal activities and building positive relationships within the local community. Her organised and approachable nature makes her an important link between employees, project teams and external contacts.
