charity football match at Kenilworth Road

Capital Sky hosted a charity football match at Kenilworth Road Stadium in May 26, bringing together businesses from across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire, our partners, and those from the wider Luton community for an afternoon focused on fundraising and participation.

Funds raised from the day at Kenilworth Road were used to support three important causes: the Little Blue Heroes Foundation, Curry Kitchen, and the Luton Town FC Community Trust. Each organisation plays a vital role in supporting individuals and families, both locally and further afield.

Supporting Local Causes

Either by carrying out community meetings to notify the public of future works or carrying out letter drops to notify neighbours of works taking place.

Capital Sky work closely with several Charities in the Luton and Dunstable area and also sponsor local Gaelic football teams. Capital Sky are proud to support Luton and Dunstable Hospital, Mary Seacole Housing Association, Luton Irish Forum, Cancer Research Alzheimer’s Society and many more. Also more recently we are sponsoring The Bedfordshire police in some charity work.

Claddagh Gaels Ladies Gaelic Football Club

Martin, CEO of Capital Sky, has supported Claddagh Gaels since the club was founded in 2009 and proudly serves as its President. When Capital Sky was established, the company continued that support, building on a relationship that has always been centred around creating opportunities and supporting the development of women and girls.

Claddagh Gaels is the only Ladies Gaelic Football club in Britain not affiliated with a men’s club, providing a unique platform for women and girls to play, develop and thrive through sport. Capital Sky provides ongoing support to the club wherever it is needed, from sponsorship and events to helping create opportunities for its members beyond the football pitch.

As part of this commitment, Capital Sky has offered work placements and opportunities within the business to a number of Claddagh Gaels members, helping them gain valuable experience and insight into the construction industry. We are particularly passionate about encouraging more women to consider careers in construction and demonstrating the wide range of opportunities available within the industry.

Luton Irish Forum

Capital Sky is proud to support the Luton Irish Forum and its work across the local community. Our partnership reflects a shared commitment to bringing people together, supporting families and creating opportunities for people of all ages across Luton.

Capital Sky supports the Luton St Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival, helping to celebrate Irish culture and heritage while bringing the wider community together. We also support the Forum’s Men’s Shed campaign, which provides an important space for men to connect, socialise and support their wellbeing.

Our support also extends to the Forum’s weekly nursery programme, where Capital Sky provides gifts, experiences and activities for the children throughout the year. We particularly enjoy supporting special occasions such as Easter and Christmas, helping to create memorable experiences for the children and families involved.

Through our relationship with the Luton Irish Forum, Capital Sky is proud to support initiatives that strengthen the local community, promote connection and wellbeing, and make a positive difference to people across Luton.

Fiddles, Flutes & Cowboy Boots

Capital Sky is proud to be a Main Sponsor of Fiddles, Flutes & Cowboy Boots, a fantastic community event bringing together music, culture and entertainment in Luton. The event also raises vital funds for local charities, making it a great opportunity to enjoy an evening of entertainment while giving back to the local community. We are delighted to support an event that brings people together and makes a positive difference locally.

London St Patrick’s Day Parade

Capital Sky is proud to support the London St Patrick’s Day Parade, celebrating Irish culture, heritage and the contribution of the Irish community across London and beyond. As a company with strong Irish roots, we were delighted to take part in the parade each year, entering a Capital Sky lorry and bringing our team and brand into the heart of the celebrations.

Our involvement reflects Capital Sky’s pride in its Irish heritage and our commitment to being actively involved in the communities that mean so much to our people.

All Britain Competition

Capital Sky is proud to support the All Britain Competition, the largest youth Gaelic Games competition outside of Ireland. Spanning four days, the competition brings young players from across Britain together to compete, develop their skills and celebrate Gaelic games, friendship and community. We are delighted to support an event that provides such valuable opportunities for young people.
