Six young people. Twelve areas of experience. One very hands-on introduction to life at Capital Sky.

The Future Builders Programme has been designed to give Capital Sky’s apprentices a broad understanding of the business and the construction industry, taking them well beyond the confines of a classroom and putting them directly into the environments, teams and disciplines that shape our company.

Over the course of the six-week programme, the six apprentices have experienced different sides of Capital Sky, from sitting their Touch Screen Test to get their CSCS Card during their first week before venturing near a site, project management, groundworks and drainage through to plant and machinery, carpentry, steelwork, concrete and engineering. Along the way, they have also spent time understanding the disciplines that support every successful project, including health and safety, commercial, document control and, ultimately, the CSS Boardroom Exams.

Now, Capital Sky is opening the door on their journey.

A brand new video series will be released across LinkedIn starting today, following the six apprentices through the different stages of the Future Builders Programme and giving an insight into what they have experienced, learned and taken away from each stage.

It is a chance to meet the people behind the programme, see the breadth of experience they have gained and follow their development as they begin building their careers within the industry.

Developing the next generation here at Capital Sky means we’re giving young people the opportunity to gain genuine experience, understand how a major construction business operates and discover where their own skills and ambitions can take them.

Follow Capital Sky on LinkedIn via the botton below and watch the Future Builders series as each chapter is released.
