Capital Sky is proud to mark a major milestone at Rayners Penn, with the successful erection of the first tower crane on this exceptional development.

Set within a 19-acre heritage estate in Penn, Buckinghamshire, Rayners Penn is being transformed into a luxury boutique hotel and spa, bringing together significant new construction, infrastructure and finishing works within a sensitive heritage setting.

Capital Sky is contracted on behalf of Size Group, having been appointed to deliver an extensive package of works across the development.

Our scope includes full enabling works throughout the site, piling mat preparation, piling attendance, full basement excavation, reinforced concrete frame construction, the full engineering package, site logistics, roads and drainage, and the final finishing of the external infrastructure.

This breadth of responsibility places Capital Sky at the heart of the project from the early ground and enabling stages through to the structural frame and completed external works. It is a package that requires careful planning, engineering, sequencing and coordination across multiple areas of the site.

The First Tower Crane Rises

The erection of the first tower crane marks an important transition in the programme.

Following the extensive preparation, enabling, piling and excavation works required to reach this stage, the crane is a visible sign of the project progressing into the next major phase of structural construction.

For the Capital Sky team, it is also a proud moment that reflects the considerable planning, coordination and hard work undertaken behind the scenes.

The crane will now play a central role in the delivery of the reinforced concrete frame, supporting the movement of materials and the continued development of the major structural elements across the site.

Building Together, Working Collaboratively

Rayners Penn is a project where collaboration is fundamental to successful delivery.

Capital Sky and Size Group continue to work closely together across the programme, combining experience, open communication and practical construction knowledge to coordinate the many structural, engineering and logistical interfaces involved.

We are extremely proud of the partnership between our teams and of the trust placed in Capital Sky to deliver such a comprehensive package on this prestigious development.

The erection of the first tower crane is an important milestone for everyone involved and a fitting moment to recognise the collective effort that has brought the project to this stage.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with Size Group — building together, working collaboratively and delivering this exceptional development as one team.
