Capital Sky successfully delivered a fast-track Luton Town Football Club
redevelopment of the Bobbers Stand, upgrading the facility to fully meet Premier League broadcast and safety standards.

Timescale: The works were completed on an extremely accelerated schedule, in approximately 13 weeks, ensuring the stand was fully operational ahead of the 2023/24 Premier League season.

Luton Town Football Club is a professional football club from Luton, Bedfordshire, England. The club currently competes in EFL League One, the third tier of the English football league system.

Nicknamed “The Hatters”, Luton have played their home games at Kenilworth Road since 1905.

Scope of works

Replace the existing executive-box structure with a modern seated stand to increase spectator capacity and comply with minimum stadium requirements.

Install broadcast-grade media infrastructure and floodlighting to meet Premier League technical specifications.

Following Luton Town’s promotion, Kenilworth Road required urgent upgrades to meet Premier League standards for broadcasting, safety, and spectator capacity.

Capital Sky spearheaded the rapid redevelopment of the Bobbers Stand, overseeing the demolition of the existing executive-box configuration and delivering a modernised facility featuring enhanced seating, a dedicated media gantry, hospitality amenities, and full internal mechanical and electrical fit-out, including upgraded food and beverage facilities.

Completed within a matter of weeks, the project enabled the club to host home fixtures while simultaneously increasing usable capacity, ensuring broadcast compliance, and preserving the stadium’s historic character, all within stringent regulatory timelines.
